Health and happiness

So, since I had a bladder infection a week and a half ago, I've been eating more healthily. Mom, dads and others alike, please don't think that this means you should stop providing your children with the occasional treat, or two. But basically since I got sick, I've been living off of Water, Cranberry juice, smoothies, and fruit. But I've had little, even the tiniest bit of sugar since then. And my physical endurance rate, and energy level has doubled. It absolutely amazes me, too. I don't plan on going back to the "sugary" diet I had for a while. If, ever. I'll have a soda here and there, a piece of candy, and possibly cake and such every once in a while. But I like this. I like this feeling. I'm actually just now finishing off a Banana Peach and Cherry smoothie.. That I made. And it tastes great. I've decided that I'm going to get my body back to where it was before I went into the hospital before EFY. I am NOW purposefully getting my abs, arm, and leg muscles back... And being in Cinderella is really going to help kick that off!

So my advice for the day is... If you think you love sugar too much to give it up, you've obviously not tried hard enough. Don't let a bladder infection, or any other ailment of sorts make you start being healthy, it's a pretty dumb excuse; an excuse I used. Here's the deal though, don't try and tell anyone what to do, how to eat, and what they have to do health wise. Encourage it, and stick to it. They'll notice the difference, and want to participate in gaining that kind of attitude/change too.

Here's a list of "replacements" for those who are having to "live off of" certain beverages or foods. These ARE THE EXACT replacements I did. And it worked.
Energy Drinks:WATER. No, Dr.Pepper, or any other soda WILL NOT do for replacement. Even better, look for juices. I know at Kroger off of Beach St. they have a corner by the Deli that sales bottles of Apple, Orange, Cranberry, Grape, and Kiwi Strawberry juices. I decided to go the extra mile, and ONLY get 100% juice items. No Artificial. Apple and Orange at 100%. But trust me. They work as replacements.
Candy: I did melons. Buying a small plastic cup of watermelon or cantaloupe already sliced into small squares, is THE BEST way. No, buying Fruit snacks will not work... They contain just about the same amount of Sugar as candy. If you don't like melons, buy yogurt, or any other fruit. It's amazing, and is great compensation.

I know there's many other things to be replaced... But those are what I dealt with. Not having any of those, has not only made me more energetic, but I'm in a better mood. It's honestly the way to go! I'm glad I'm finally back in my swing of being healthy... I honestly am.

You should give it a shot. It's my advice to you. Just give this healthy thing a shot!

Prayers, and food for thought

Yes, it's 1:41AM and here I am, when I said I'd go to bed at 11:30.

Ya know, I forgot to do my chores, and got to bed as soon as possible. But after running an errand with Mikhail, for things needed, I came home to get to bed... But I stumbled upon my Mom, Dad, and Seth all surrounding Mychael. He was having seizures, again. And it amazes me at how just today I was talking on the phone about a "made up" profession I'd told myself I'd get into. I always wanted to be a Phenobarbitalogist. It is COMPLETELY made up. It's not a profession. Phenobarbital is a medicine given to stop seizures, and prevent them... But how the heck does the stuff work?!

This has got me thinking. Brace yourselves... A thought process! I do want to do Psychology. Maybe even be a doctor for pediatric divisions. But I want to figure out why, and how these things do what they do. I just like figuring things out. Which is why I want to do Psychology especially. I like to understand people, and help them know why they think the way they think.. And why they do what they do. It's just always fascinated me.

Most would suspect that I would take my desired course of Music as a major for School, but I honestly think that I can do a recording and just start a career out of my singing, and piano playing. So I've decided to dedicate my paying dime to the cause of helping children. Psychology major with a focus on Children. It'll be absolutely worth in the end, I believe. And having a music background, I can help incorporate music with the thoughts of people, and how and why they DO think the way they do. It'll be great.

But this is going to be a rough patch. A hard one even. Bring it on, bring-it-on.
